What I'd love to be able to do now is turn some of the lights off... I like to texture in a relatively neutral light environment, and I noticed last night that with the three default lights in the shader, it was really blowing out my diffuse. Man, I haven't done much code since high school... I wish I had a HLSL function…
Did you use a standard shader with Directx manager or did you make a directx shader? If you used directx manager, make sure you have clicked "show material in viewport". If you made a directx shader, you should try using a custom made one (http://forums.3dtotal.com/showthread.php?t=63244) since the default one can be a bit…
first, make sure your Bump slot intensity is 100 - it defaults to 30 which will give a weird display in the viewport. secondly, try checking the "Flip Y" (or is it "Flip Green Channel" ?) in the Normal Bump map properties - it seems like one or more of your normal-map's channels may be inverted. edit: lol, looks like…
fail list: - preloader - click to enter button - times new roman font (or not being able to embed fonts the right way) - unique layouts that only work with the content it comes with (makes updating impossible) - empty blogs - default flash movie player skin suggestions: - make it html - make it UBER- simple (no fancy…
Predator : you do it once and for all, as part of the original OS 'freezing' , and then they stay forever. As for brush sets to gradually add to , you can save them in another drive. Also, simply putting a file shortcut to them in the default photshop folder makes them extremely easy to reach. They might even show in the…
I'm pretty sure it is a lot more complicated than that... I believe what Max does is tile the textures in every direction to catch anything outside of the given block. I'll look through some settings and stuff but I'm pretty sure that would create more problems than it would fix. Edit: Yea there isn't anything that loops…
Are you using the Maya renderer or a plugin program? I am no pro at renders, but I do know that Maya is...well...a steaming PoS when it comes to dealing with transparency and sorting. This goes for viewport but I think it carries over to it's default renderer as well. Not very helpful im afraid, but if you have access to…
the nice thing about the X-arcade is that you can switch from 4 way to 8 way, but I've never found it necessary to do so as the default 8way has been pretty good to me but I guess if you plan to replace the stick with Happ anyway, it doesn't really matter Vahl- You guys got a 3rd strike machine at work? I'm jealous!
noooooooo haggis Those scots fight to the bitter end, I'm tellin' ya. My flaming ballistas cut them down pretty good though I'm thinking about making some new units and stuff for the game. At least revisit some of the textures. Maybe bring in one of the meshes and mudbox it up some. The default normal maps are of the…
Probably a bug, just tried it out, happens to me too. Doesn't matter what kind of FX file is loaded, the maps drop every time unless the maps are saved into the FX file. But then it only loads those maps, if I switch them out it loads the defaults. Totally useless... Saving it to a material library also gets rid of all the…
