turned 27 a month ago, being doing 3d for 2 1/2 years. I did freelance for an advertising agency that does stuff for games. then some stuff for a game cinematic, and recently landed a fulltime gig at a vfx film studio, doing high res environment.
ohmygod yes. for low-2-low AO i've started using lighttraces since xNormal keeps baking triangle edges into my occlusion maps. EDIT: for baking High-2-Low with floaters in xNormal, check "discard backface" or similar, within the specific maps' settings.
love them man ! :) my favorite is the middle one.... weakest is the 3rd one imo for 2 reasons. first: i think the design of the fruit is a bit too hard to read.... and also the values between leaves and fruit regarding the composition is not as strong as it is in the other 2. but still ace :) !!!

That's what a great many people would want from a Doom game. I'd like a Doom 2 tone myself; initially a little dark and horroresque, but later devolving into that kind of ridiculousness. No Rest for the Living was fairly different to the rest of Doom 2, but it felt like such an awesome climax.
Wrapping up everything and here is my results! This is part 1 of 2 for my subway development. Ill post some more images soon of part 2 that I have started as well. Also ill give a bit of a breakdown to the tunnel setup from maya soon.
#1: :/ I dont know, maybe #2 might help. #2: you might have "masked" the vertices when you might have pressed ctrl during the retopo. if you unmask(while still doing the retopo) on an empty area, it might solve your problem.

getting better! but i don´t really understand what you've done to the knee joint. I do mine like ben does: 3 rings on the outer part, 2 on the inner (the polies between those 2 is going to colapse inside the geometry when flexed)
