Holy feck.. That decides it, now I wanna try my hand on some sculpey.. Only crit I have is maybe to break up the dots on the horses glorious behind, with smaller, less dark ones to give it some depth. But, again, hats off to you sir.
Which is why many of us don't like it, but are curious to see how Valve boys will polish the free future version. Valve isn't all about hats, so I'm pretty sure we'll get a nice portion of the stuff cleaned up to a mirror spit shine.
Nice work. You mentioned rebuilding the undersuit and that is the only thing I see being weird. Seems like it can't decide if its cold suit or normal flight suit. How do you get the texture on the fur side of the hat but not the leather side?
Playing with lighting setups in Marmo and started to texture his mask. Few issues i need to fix with the mesh it seems, like the hat clipping at the edges, which is strange because it doesnt happen in maya viewport. Is there a way to adjust the near/far clipping in marmoset?
What would be your recommendation on splits with LODs (bevels on edge or thin rings like around the brim of a hat)? It's extremely easy to ruin a good bake with a single collapse of those, but having a separate UV island/SG to support it doesn't seem efficient in the slightest.
my gut reaction to that rifle is . I love how intricate it is. and shiny too. i'll have to takea closer look later, I might say, that it seems like there are someneedless parts on it, but I thinkt hats just me being picky. Awesome rifle!
Thank you! We are definitely getting there! Still a long road ahead. Here is a male peasant complete with a new head and hat. I was also experimenting with a base beard texture on the face which I can add planes for on top for more variety in the faces.
More progress: Engine Blockout - I'm going for the short lived Warboys flavor of the interceptor. Iconic Scott Injector Hat with the double blowers underneath. Decorative skull. Aegean - I'm using 3dsMax, haven't touched Modo indie. What do you think of it?
