yep , looks better than with the cristals . You could keep the purple crystals on his head and maybe try a blue gradient coming from the top as a test aswell . Good luck
Thanks for your input bb0x! I've add some fog in cryengine and it's seems that it's what bugging you about it. Will try to get a better result with more contrast next time, thanks!
Unfortunately, I have not managed to cover the aspect of placing the foliage in the 3dmotive tutorial. The general idea for getting fairly decent placement of vegetation is to try and group the foliage in a ramp-like shape. What I mean by that is that you start with the largest objects and then add smaller objects around…
Wooo, that is some sexy wood scluptin! This scene is already pretty sweet, but I have a few nitpicks that may help you.. * I'd say you could have used some more value variation, like making the bits that stick out a bit lighter due to weather/just being worn down. * Some of your objects are very monochromatic (stone, wood)…
I think there's a few things I'd like to see- - the particle effects could be improved, to have more form, motion, and be less distracting. It'd be nice to see a burst off effect out from the explosion, and some falling dust and masonry as the environment crumbles. - Could the destruction be halved? At the moment the…
Looking cool Wayne. One thing about paint too is its tendency to dry up and flake off especially in the presence of rust. There's alot of metal in this scene and not a whole lot of rust. That corrugated sheet metal would have swaths of rust even after only a few years out in the elements. Since your building seems to be…
[ QUOTE ] Become a construction worker [/ QUOTE ] Working construction this time of year in Washington state is like asking someone to rub dry ice all over your body after you get out of a hot tub. It's a really insane thing to do... What doesn't freeze off by lunch time will more than likely thaw slightly, then drown in…
Thanks everybody! Maul0r: I used Citadel Miniature paints, which tbh, aren't the greatest and I probably won't use them again (unless I'm too lazy to find new ones). Their colour just isn't very vibrant. The stuff's not likely to rub off because it's sprayed with satin varnish and then had gloss varnish in the shiny parts.…
Maybe try to set your diffuse color to a gray value rather than a white one. Also I recommend to set the material opacity to 99% in order to have the alpha channel applied :)
