I have pirated almost every game I have on my drive but I buy all the ones I like and delete the rest, usually after only a few mins of play. My connection is blazing fast when downloadinng off local torrent servers. If I can find a demo torrent I go that way but usually there isn't one unless its a pre release demo. Its…
sorry, gonna have to thumbs down on the angry nerd. he's a nerd alright, but he's not particularly angry, mostly just annoyed; he has a horribly slow and uninflected speaking voice, and he's also what Freud would consider anally fixated. i like how he had to save it all up for the painfully rehearsed "rant" at the end.…
Technically I guess I am an illegal immigrant by descent...only reason I exist is because a grandfather (who was Scottish) back about 4 generations ago or maybe 5 generations ago got onto a ship in England to visit with a friend before the ship set sail and while on board, the ship had left port so he was kinda stuck. He…
Ahh...forgot about sweep, thanks for that. Loft has some extremely powerful functions, like deformations. But good grief do I hate it's interface! Ideally, this made up tool would combine loft and sweep into a single modifier that can draw and edit strips parametrically, without the need to select separate instanced…
Highpoly is done. Just testing colors and getting a beauty shot. I forgot to duplicate all the meshes before applying all the modifiers, so now I'm stepping back a few files to split off the base meshes into lowpoly collections in blender, which I can then just append into the latest blend file.
Re: UVs again - I believe soft selection/proportional edit also has an issue where it only works if the 'connected' components option is toggled off? Meaning all the visible UV islands are affected and you have to hide and show UV islands like a champ to only edit the part you want to. Or resort to UV sculpting which I…
I would put in the eyeball from the start. It looks much too jarring without them and that'll make it hard to assess the forms and proportions properly. Same with the neck and shoulders, they way you have it currently is throwing everything off.
Hey all. I'm venturing from mods to look at landing my first full time gig. I've worked in mods for many years and am wanting to finally break onto the scene. One point that was brought to my attention was that AAA studios are wanting to see maximum details (pushing even further than current in-game standards), so I…
I think the target users are really the industrial designers, mechanical engineers, architects. The consumer market is a ways off, I think eventually it’ll be a big deal, but you have to start somewhere and generate ground swell, excite the developers to make apps and ideas.
