little thing I've noticed: what purpose do those black borders on your uv shells serve? seems like you're setting yourself up for some nasty bleeding on mipmaps ;)
I can't escape the shit smell after seeing all of these. Truly amazing work, redefining the next gen environment landscape. Thank you for all of the inspiration & Keep up the amazing work!
Ghost in the Shell meets Flashforward, but with death instead of temporary sleepy time? Didn't grab me too much. The story is nothing new (ooh, technology is evil) and the cinematography and cast are ugly IMO.
The pack is finished and ready on Unity AssetStore - http://u3d.as/ig9 Place them over your beach or use as decorations, you can even scale them and use as shell of some creature :)
Have you used texttools "smoothing groups from uv shells"? there looks like a lot of faceting on your model. Id suggest exporting it to xnormal with a projection cage and bake them out there.
That looks great! Another thing that I was wondering, is if you planned on having any sort of debris clutter pile type objects? Such as small piles of rubble or even trash spilled on the ground. - Zach
"Anyway, have these been confirmed to being used in the game?" The flashlight is a good case in point. You can clearly see the Doom flashlight shape in the middle, with some extra light-spill around it.
Coolio. Needs cross brace peices though. THe corrugated iron doesnt need to be shelled, just have a duplicate with flipped normals. (i think.) There are alot of thin tris there that dont add to shillouette.
I'm confused by those...shot gun shells (is that what they are?) on the ground. ...Was the enemy throwing them at it? Was someone walking near by and accidentally dropped them? Well, the model itself looks good, good job!
I had just recently backed up most of my work, reference, photos, music, movies, game saves, y'know everything to my 500g Western Digital My Book.... swell.
