Just a small update. Got the Green version done now too and threw in some fishes I made earlier using the same basic workflow. the fish specular works alot nicer in my night time environment though ^^ Texture size for the planes are 256 each and the single apples share a 512 texture along with some other foods, tomatoes… -

Thanks for the comments so far guys! Have been spending the day today trying to think of an eye that I'm satisfied fits him well. I tried the full fish eye, but I'm liking a more human pupil with the rest of the eye as a fish's eye. Not sure which one I like more just yet, but I'm still playing around with it. -

yeah I had thought of that idea! Fish bones for the spear or part of his ornaments, but the main idea (which can seem out of theme) was leather pauldrons, metallic belly armor and goggles, scars. Fish bones could be a nice addition, like if the penguin would've gotten some human technology but kept a bit of his kind too.… -

I agree with the others. Edit your reel down. In my experience the first minute is all that really counts for a reel. You can pretty much tell by that point whether it's worth doing a phone interview with the applicant or not. You've got some good stuff here. The team leaders of the mod I'm working on wanted a specific species of fish for an easter egg. I got yer fish RIGHT HEAH 131 polys with a 128 texture there. Apparently it's an item for the player to pick up (HL2 mod btw), so I figured 128 was a nice number (soooo close!). I ripped the texture from the ether, so other than… -
