Because the other spec shouldnt give any problems while game play, but windows 7 would..If you scroll down you should be able to find 4-5 threads related to 3d graphix problem using windows 7. -

What Windows version are you under and how many HD are connected to your machine ? under windows 7 on my machine i only have to boot with the Win7 DVD in my machine and reboot. Windows 7 will load and reformat from the startup. -

alpha comes from the first alpha channel. i havent tried it with 7 but they work with cs/cs2 7's layer sets are called groups so that may pose a problem. i know thats a problem with action scripts being used in cs -
