Yeah honestly the difference between 8 bit vs 6+ FRC shouldn't be a deal breaker, but the 2414 is 6 + FRC as well. For the cost difference you can pick up a color calibrator, assuming you can find something local that is. But yeah I would probably just go for the 2515 Also, haiiiii

I'm seeing banding on my laptop monitor, which is an 6-bit e-IPS screen, I'm not at home to check it with my better monitors, but most cheap monitors are 6 bit and do not actually display anywhere near the colors your video is outputting, so subtle gradients will show banding or dithering effects.
great materials, but the face, well i don't know.. here's a few images of krang. as you can see frm the images, he always got those 6 teeth i the lower law, and on a rare occasion shows the 6 in his upper jaw as well. the eyes are closer to the mouth, and also closer together.
Here are some rough compositions I'm playing with. I think I'm leaning towards 4 or 6. Both scenes show Jinx in the middle of pillaging another viking town. 4 features Jinx vaulting over an angry group, and 6 is of Jinx leaping towards the viewer with her man-viking she's about to rape and pillage.
My guess is that it tricks the eye into seeing it smoother than it actually is because there are no shared parallel edges between the top and bottom. Similar in principle to using 5 sided cylinders as opposed to 6 sided for arms and legs on lowpoly characters, 5 sided appears less geometric to the eye than 6 and therefore…
dont even bother with sli. TBH that card is way fast as it is. and by time you would want the extra performance offered by a second card, it would prob be cheaper to buy a new card in the first place. the i7 is hot i love mine, and the 6 gigs of ram is wonderful. and why get a 750 gig drive. I have 2 TB and i filled it up…
i think you have made some valid points form a general users perspective but that's not the point of view that corporations or studios have for there workstations. in 2011 windowsXP64 finally dropped to 50% of the total windows install base. that means that right now in 2012 probably 45% of the total windows install base…
Your texture could be a single side of the crate and you would arrange each UV shell to use 100% of the texture. In 3dsmax you click on each face, then click "quick planar map". There are 5-6 other ways to do it but that's probably the easiest. If you're using maya there are similar functions, but I don't have it installed…
