Forgot about this thread. That was a cute post but it was loaded with emotion instead of logic. Let me pre-face by saying I respect you and your work John. My intent isn't to make enemies around here. (I can't really afford to...lol) A lot of you guys rock with your craft. I just have serious reservations with the loving…
thanks for the feedback! With his face, wanted him to have a feel of 45-50 years old man, like some bodybuilders at this age, even with extreme low fat % on the stage, the face has some of the Shar Pei features :D
I have been, but friend wanted to avoid the Lord of the Ring's esque troll's face. Is the face at least decent enough to keep around? I'll rework it after work today; I'm glad to have constant feedback right now.
If you will be swapping out clothing or armor, you want it separate. If you want to do close up face shots, you may want to do it seperate so you can have a higher rez version of the face texture.
So basicly your model can't have any faces that overlap othher faces of the other parts of your model as example the bands that go through the skull can't be touching any of the skull? or did i get it completly wrong?
Well Id say the anatomy of the face is wrong and has this downward facing look going on. Id say get some real life refrence and go from there. Heres a picture to start with, see how far the cranium goes back.
Starting with Character Creator to get the musculature and do a lot of the initial face shaping using extreme morphs and baking and then continuing to morph further. Repeated the steps over and over to get the proper front of the face/snout and eye shape correct.
You can always be a home contractor if you get too old. No face to face interview = no discrimination. Of course, I really don't like working from home... http://journeyguy.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/dilbert2006040261702.jpg
Hi, I focused the face close-up details and I made some experiment with Arnold render using alShaders in Maya. The peach fuzz was made with XGen. The face details was sculpted in ZBrush and I painted the SSS textures in Mari.
near the end her face looks a bit weird, like a mans face. whole thing looks a little grim to me, still prefer the older style where she was a more of a female james bond with a wry sense of humour
