generally this seems to be a good idea. however, what defines cliche is very subjective and an idea that is NOT considered cliche today could easily be considered cliche tomorrow or next year. it is good to force creativity but i think execution is far more important when it comes to learning or progressing your skill set.… -

Loving the body. Not too conviced with the face, definately may want to go back to that. The boots, particularly the soles I'm not too convinced. Could you post an image showing an example of the boots you're doing? Something isn't right with her hands but I can't quite point it out. Mostly to do with your thumb to hand… -

Niiiiice, I'm interested to see how you approach the wings of shadow. The Balrog looks badass, Some thoughts about Glorfindel via photoshop if your interested: Mainly the eyes I'd be careful about flattening the iris while sculpting, since the overall eye with lens plays a big part in defining the upper lid. @Panda It looks great, but i think you went a bit too far on defining the facial feature, noticeably at her lips, eyebag, cheek and nose. Basically, you need to smooth things out. Here's another quick liquify paintover, since i'm not good at speaking things. About the hair, IMO it needed less strand, and more volume. Yours… -

Id say that depends. It most definately suck that companies close and people loose their jobs, no one wants that, but hopefully our industry will grow up a bit and mature when it comes to production, estimating schedules, learning to handle transitions between projects etc. Too many simple mistakes are made at production… -

Curious.. how does one rotate a pattern... looks to be impossible to rotate things as they stand... since everything for wood is pattern based in photoshop rather then layer or texture based lol...
