Thanks @Fabi_G The people I've talked too already about this piece also mentioned the houses needing to capture the eye more. I've turned down the fog a bit and increased the intensity of the window lights as well as put more contrast between the bark in the fore and midground trees to guide the eye more.
hey snoops! glad to see you posting. your geo looks pretty solid, and that's a good render to post, lots of views to get a sense of what your vehicle looks like. and now to address your requested crits: it doesn't really communicate off-road, but that's not much of a surprise, because you're going with the wrong reference.…
2/3 of the concept artists I have asked to reproduce from also turned out to be AD's. I'd sure hate to piss off a potential future boss... Besides even the guys who turned me down (that are professionals) always thanked me for asking instead of just ganking.
Thanks for the input. I plan to make a sister site that's just a simple designed webpage with less process content, and just main images and or movies. The css/java scrolling window is for the front page. There's a "contents" page accessed via the redundant nav on the right to address what your'e talking about.
This is how my maya looks :( Should I reinstall or can I reset layout? Thanks for the quick reply. EDIT found it: had to go in polygons mode. Fingers crossed. Seriously this is the first time I opened up maya in my life. But what is the history you talk about?
Thanks Ben that helps. To be honest I have no clue how to setup that kind of shader that you're talking about but would definetively like to know. Tho I would propably need to reUV my Tree to prepare the bark for tiling as it bends alot and the uv's are layed out flat and relaxed.
Thanks Sanna! Rendering it in 360 degrees actually takes a lot of time. We're still on it! :) Meanwhile, my buddy @Shyralon did an interview with 80.lv where he talks about his approach to the temple environment: https://80.lv/articles/building-and-texturing-aztec-temple-in-3d/
model Been caught up in the holidays with people coming in for visits and talking with a new potential job, haven't had a lot of time for my own things to post here. But would like to thank you for taking a look at my stuff and post a belated Christmas thing i had done!
Thanks guys. Chris I use your UDK set up tutorial a ton. That'd be great for you to put one together. Where are those CryEngine tutorials already? Lamont that's pretty cool. You're talking about showing wirewrame, etc? Never thought of binding them to keys.
