No, weirdly enough i did not receive any error messages in Substance painter. i didn't try decimating the mesh because i thought it'd remove a lot of the details. Thank you for taking your time to try the baking yourself:) I'll try using your advices (mirroring, decimate) and see if that'll work
This sounds like zbrush isn't actually freezing, rather it is successfully opening the new Save As window somewhere off-screen, then waiting for you to finish the prompt. You might be able to fix this by resetting your Windows resolution and Zbrush UI so that Windows isn't trying to work with multiple monitors. Otherwise,…
