You could use the shell modifier but will need some cleanup afterwards. Personally i would construct the walls from seperate pieces instead of modelling all from one piece.
I found the shotgun lying around and thought id update it a bit here is a first wip of it with a strap, ill add some more to the strap eventually like the shell holders etc
Continuing hair experiments. Now attempting to make some shells. Obviously not quite there yet either... We'll see which technique I end up sticking with as I continue experimenting.
Alberta Premium Dark Horse (sometimes called Dark Batch) - $25 Laphroiag Cask Strength 10 year old - $70 (this stuff smells like peat moss burning, love it)
Cheers man. Yeah, I think I need to try and push the normals more in the main shell metal, maybe get more of a brushed steel look to it. I'll have to revisit that.
Could it be that Sony smells tax breaks in Montreal also and it looking to start something up soon? Or do they just not see that much of a future in MMO's that they need to keep those studios around...
I smell bullshit Sounds fishy to me (and when something sounds fishy to me, it usually always is). Don't waste your time if they didn't provide enough details in the first place.
Ah ok, got it. Made a test with one smoothing group on the whole object, and multiple groups, based on UV shells. Seems to look a bit better with the hard edges where the seams are.
Pelt is still valid but it's not magic. If you cant pelt/reset peel/relax a shell then you need to split it up into smaller bits or add seams in areas where tension is greatest
