At the end of the day, we are benefited that it's not only Zbrush, but now also Mudbox. Both are great tools, and both companies are working on new features to try to attract new customers, therefore, we do indeed benefit from this competition. :D
You are right about the arms and hands- now after a while of relax I can see that too And the pants- down part of that "baggy" pants will be on realtime cloth so i think, that could be visual attractive- will see in game Cheers
ya the painting normals, and being able to use a object to attract or repell the normals in a certain radius would be very usefull. especially if it worked on the objects volume, so i could say import in level geometry and have it slightly repell the normals.
Super character model. You have been getting great anatomy suggestions. Apart from that, only dropped by to comment on the figure type in general. The proportions on this model are particularly attractive! They are a great mix of fantasy and reality, very effective. Good job!
Failed at making an attractive face. Added in ears. Arctic foxes have more rounded ears so I'm going to try and nail that angle. Also blocked in some arms. Messed around with general proportions to make her more heroic.
How about writing your name in the pupil of your art? Zoom in, adjust levels, and BOOM, artwork recovered! If the DaVinici Code attracted millions of smucks to watch the movie, surely a few smart artist will realize hiding the detail is the way to go.
Yeah this is stunning! Her face seriously looks so alive which I can imagine to be something pretty difficult to achieve. I......I am attracted to her. I want to take her on a date and learn more about her.
Considering how HoN is, Dota2 will be a cesspool of hatred unless it's aggressively moderated. Even LoL, with it's kiddie mechanics is full of flamers and griefers, so a hardcore game like DoTA2 should attract some serious assholes. All part of the experience. :P
I think too many people underestimate the "casual market." To me, a casual gamer is anyone that does not invest 3-4+ hours a day into a game. If they are able to bring in design elements that attract the larger masses, I would call that a win.
Here is the final skin detailing work. I am still going to make some tweeks. I have learned from this project that when it comes to reference you need to choose an attractive reference. But my goal for this one was accuracy to a photograph.
