The farms, roads, and beaches are about 99.9% accurate at this point. What's left is detailing everything, creating additional props and foliage and filling the world out. Our modular houses and churches are beginning to be constructed and we're starting to prep to get our game launched on Steam Greenlight in the coming…
@oglu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuldUVJ-FBU https://blenderartists.org/t/udim-support-for-2-8-by-lukas-stockner-development-thread/1114538/199 It is in a seperate branch from the official blender. Its not the most intuitive since its still under development. Might crash sometimes.
Hrm, rates have gone up since I ran my Geek Squad several years back. Usually Malware/Spyware was part of a "System Tuneup" which was $25. Some other things would pop up, but $199? really? Is that for In-Home or store work? That seems ridiculously overpriced.
thanks for sharing that i have seen so many threads were somebody goes " i have obscure problem X" nobody responds and than month later comes another post from the same person going :"never mind i fixed it" :D http://xkcd.com/979/

WoW is also a really old game, they started development in 1999 and it released in 2004. Sure they've done some things to upgrade the game since then but like WarrenM pointed out they want as many people playing on whatever kind of hardware they have. They also have potential for a lot of characters on screen at one time.
this portfolio format stuff... its cool I'll give you that. but really the format is this: can I see your work quickly? is it bad ass? it is! your hired, done, ( that's it, seriously I am not kidding) 99.9% is the work, and how fast folks can get to it. So the question is... how strong is your portfolio?
I have legit adobe cs3 master collection (one of the perks of my friend working for adobe is cheap commerical licenses). Wait I thought modo used to cost $595 what happened there? But $995 is a bit out of range at the moment (really quite poor). I will give blender another shot.
