Yeah VGChartz is horrible for PC. Witcher 2 has 2.2 million sales on PC as of Jan 2013, but VG chartz has it at .86 million. If only Steam would make some numbers public. Dota2 gets a peak of 772,560 players per day. What console game has that a year after release?
You know you're in for a treat whenever a developer puts in "Presents," in the opening, really gives off a feeling that the studio is proud of and stands by what they're working on. Reminds me of when "EA Proudly Presents A DICE Production" in their trailer for Battlefield 2142, which turned out to be one of the most…
looks like gamma and something else, what map are yozu baking? you can revert the gamma in photoshop, by setting it to 0.45 (if saved in gamma 2.2) or 0.55 (gamma 1.8 ) dependent on which gamme you saved it, however it is still slightly off, has less contrast so its is not purely a gamma issue
Are you using FBX 2013 as previously mentioned? Using the latest version of the FBX format on export will give you the Assimp exception. If it persists when using 2013, my best guess here would be a borked install - so I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling using the Suite 2.2 installer located on Quixel.se/suite
I finished Low poly. What do you think about it? I copied all handles and stuff that will be unwraped only once. They are on the left fron generator on last screenshot. Also there are some floating planes, I will add labels on them. Total 2442 tris. Maybe it is better to do something on that 500 tris?
There are two main textures. You can have the left half on one shoot, the right half on another shoot. Two variations. Rotate them by 120 and 240 degrees, total of 6 different looks. Having three ends instead of two is also just for some more variation and to fill the otherwise empty space.
Hi again! Posted last time that I was doing a Ma. K too so Ive decided to roll out what i have, still a wip. Btw if you wondered I modified mine so It has a flamethrower! Check it out here: http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=51687&page=142
Here's a video I did a while back explaining it in Max and bringing it into UE4. Although it sounds like they're using a custom in-house tool, but hopefully soon we will have this hard-baked vertex normals available in Max by using the Data Channel Modifier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kizs6RIa1dQ&t=243s
Do we have to use every space available? Anyway re-did the male. Its tris-244. So happy with the poly count. And here's a new character I made. It's a cowboy. I'm good with the way I have cut his UV. Was making his texture but it looked crappy so left it.
That make sense. Thanks for the info. I may try that. Thanks as always Georider. Your input is most appreciated. 222 Scout car finished: I reworked the 250 halftrack camo pattern. I am now satisfied. :) Only Opel Blitz left I think(hope). Thanks for looking.
