The downside to Mudbox is it doesnt support Python but requires everything to be written with their C++ SDK. -

If you rely on certain scripts or plugins it's also good to know that Python is not supported and some scripts or plugins might not work anymore. -

mudbox, mari and modo are also able to bake UDIMs.... and maya with some python help... -
