those heads look pretty cool, but gray parts of helmet are possibly too desaturated. pinkish parts could use some complementary colors. lighting on the hat seems less defined than lighting on guy's face.
Latest update, I'm kind of done with messing around with the smile. I also created the textures for the character, still need to uv map the rest of the models such as hat and hair. Please tell me what you think
Back to a little ZBrush work. Skipped part of video 11 which was doing the jacket, and did video 12. Learn ho wot make a sweet hat, and make multiple custom hair brushes, and then doing the hair.
Design doesn't involve art or programming but if you are going to make a game yourself you're going to have to wear some extra hats. Gamasutra seems to have alot of game design articles and challenges here at Gamecareerguide

Throwing my hat in for Dropbox as well. It gives you more than enough space on the free account (you can also harass friends, family, and strangers to join up for more), and it has about the simplest interface imaginable. Geddit.
Hats off to the creators of this tool. I will go ahead and test it in the upcoming 1-2 weeks. It's just absolutely amazing that you let artists focus more on the art itself and less on the technical missmatches between software. Thanks again!
My guess is that they just limit the number of actors on screen. And with non-hero NPCs having less fidelity and/or performance-impacting items, so the enemies using hats or helmets in lieu of really nice hair, or if there is hair, using a limited amount.
Are ye using actual prosthetic references for the legs? They're feeling pretty toon-y compared to the upper half of the model. EDIT: oops forgot to say: Absolutely love the face and where this is going in general. And that is a super nice hat. :poly124:
