Talon: yeah, that's what I prefer too. Having tools work on selections is a powerful thing, much more so than having to call a tool before you get to set what it works on. I swear, if Max could just steal from Silo wholesale, I would be a much happier man.
This scale issue can be worked out. Don't change the size, alignment or shape of anything. The concept is perfect how it is. Here's what you can do.... Add tricycles and children's peddle-powered plastic automobiles to the parking spaces. Stylize them so that they look dirty and worn out like the rest of the scene. pf
For alpha channel support, what would be great is to be able to checkbox which of the four channels are to be used for each effect. So for example you could load the normal map in the spec power slot, and activate just the alpha channel. Or you could load an effects map in the opacity slot, and activate just the red…
So this is the great iPhone / DS killer the Sony fanboys were waiting for? Tether to your existing cell? This really doesn't seem like anything new or great at all. pass. My PSP-1000 is still enough for me. Makes a great paperweight. Give me Mega Man Powered Up 2 please.
Basically, it is telling you that your video card isn't powerful enough to handle that. Drop down a few subdivisions then paint on it. Mudbox is very memory hungry. Much more so than Zbrush. Also, the reason it is using up 1gb of memory is because you have 1.5 million polies. That is a ton for a simple egg.
Here's a list I put together of company websites: http://jhaywood.com/links.htm From my personal experience, the best companies I've worked for are Treyarch, Frantic Films (pre-vis, not games), and Gas Powered Games. I've heard great things about Neversoft and Naughty Dog from friends and aquaintences that work there.
Looks really cool but for his size, his chest and shoulders are underdeveloped As stated, his abdominal region is really wacked out. If you take that section back to shcool, you'll be good. Hit up T-nation's powerful images section for inspiration: http://www.t-nation.com/tmagnum/powerfulImages.jsp Nice skin and…
i made a birthday thread for you that was nicer and better and before this stupid birthday thread, but kub with his moderator powers made it look like he posted way before mine, and then he was all mean so i delteted the one i made, happy birthday anyway, this thread sucks you guys!
i have an Epiphone SG Special (currently tuned down half a step), a 10watt Mashall amp, and a DOD Death Metal Distortion pedal. for tabbing i use Guitar Pro 4 demo and get tabs from mysongbook.com. i used power tab briefly but didn't like it as much as GuitarPro 4.
For a map like that I'd tend to divide it up into a power of 2 (ie 8 rows and 8 columns) since that's more consistent for game art usage. 10 is a rather odd number to divide a 256x256 map by, for example. It's not a huge deal, but I think I'd get more use of a map that goes to 8 or 16.
