For different versions of Maya different plugin versions need to be compiled. So scripts should work fine, but you should just re install plugins. -

Autoback saves me from everything but photoshop. ;/ Adobe really needs to get this integrated (although there is a free auto-back script you can run). -

you could actually high poly model the rope out, or find a script that does it, or just build your normal in photoshop. Using Max or Maya? -

It's custom, so you will need to identify what script/plugin it comes from. A glance through your .env files might help you spot it. -

Every UV shell is hardened. I have a script that allows me to select all my UV shells and harden edges according to the UV shells.
