@Jakro Hey man the plugin is up http://polycount.com/discussion/184854/zbrush-plugin-eazy-toolz-small-handy-buttons-free @demilich Didn't got the layers it was to complicated for now, hoping to get back at it when I have a bit more experience with zscript.
I can't get the displacements from zbrush to work, I followed a thread that explains how to use displacements from zbrush. I followed everything perfectly until I got to this part. Oh really rotate it, how many degrees and in what direction, I tried 180 degrees in the z direction. But right now the displaced mesh looks no…
Thanks, everybody! That's the specular map. The values control how bright the specular highlights are, the color controls the highlight color, and the alpha channel controls how sharp they are. The skin is blue because I shifted the hues 180 degrees in Photoshop. By shifting the hue, it's possible to make the skin look…
Or even better, change the angle of Auto Smooth to 180 degrees and mark your sharp edges manually. That way you have a full control of smoothing groups in your low poly mesh. One more benefit: Once you're done with your sharp edges and you'd like to UV unwrap your mesh, you can quickly select all of your sharp edges with…
Ok, so I've done an almost full 180 on those character designs. After seeing some recent footage of Ignis wearing a leotard shirt and silver gloves while doing JoJo poses I'm sold. This is so over the top and gaudy it's actually kind of amazing. I'm still very much worried about the state of the series, but hearing Tabata…
remember when you upgrade a cpu, you have to keep the same socket. so you cant just upgrade to a i7 because it wont fit in your motherboard. this is problematic for you because you are limited to much older cpus which wont give you a massive boost in performance. the GPU doesnt get used a TON by most of the applications,…
The custom node at the top was just multiplying the UV's by 1,-1 (idk why I used a custom node heh) The custom node using Keen's work was used to rotate the normal vector used by 180 so that the gradient created by projecting the image across the normals faces the right direction :)
@artquest Wow, this changes my pipeline for 180 :) Thank you so much for this breakdown it is very helpful. However, I know that film industry doesn't require from you to do textures, but still I want to learn using Mari and push myself out of the limits. Anyway, since uv mapping is most important I might have few…
