More powerful silhouette! The wood should be thicker at the bases and thinner in the middles. The ropes are way too thin too. Larger rocks too (half player size ones). Add in something to give a sense of scale too. Cool idea here. I'm a huge Jak fan. Anxious to see how this turns out. -

Aw man this is so nice! Dig your use of the sss-reds in the top painting, really gives an extra punch with the surrounding cool colors. Actually good contrasting with warm and cold overall. And as I before I like the way you render and the simple manner you present your drawings. Simple but powerful. -

you ever worked on a modern sophisticated side scroller? 1 Million is nothing in terms of a budget you will need a studio infrastructure, just the usual rent can add up to tens of thousands a year, power, water, whatever supplies, software licenses, hardware, salaries, taxes - it makes *poof* and all the money is gone. -

It's pretty cool seeing his chitin plates unfold and split as his body grows beneath them though. -

You want believe it, but there are even people out there who love Max and have honest respect for Maya and of course this is true the other way around too. I would consider myself being one of the Max loving guys who have enough knowledge of Maya to see how silly it would be to deny it's power. -

How widely used is Mudbox in the game industry? I always wanted to learn it, but all the "behind the scenes" videos of game studios I've seen always shows someone using Zbrush so it kinda scared me off. Add that, you got comments here saying Zbrush is much more powerful to work with. -

I don't really now about mudbox (I don't really use it) but zbrush is very stable here. But I think this hardware dependant, I've a powerful comp. Autobackup exists in zbrush, but it's not recommended on vista/7 so I don't use it, but since v4.0 I don't recall crashing so far. -

Hey chiniara, no bro jejej my notebook has 2 videocards the integrated one (power saver) and the Ati, It sure gives me flexibility specially when i am travelling. So The UV Unwrap issue may be solved if you download the maya 2013 Hotfix man, try out and good luck!! -

im quite surprised that game companies are looking into using mari in their pipeline, given the cost. But my experience in using it is that its quite a powerful 3d painting software. realtime displacement preview, editing your paint projection on the fly, painting in uv mode, Muilti uv tiles support, tri planar texture…
