Most of those problems could be solved by adding more geometry. Have a look through the "how u model dem shapes" thread. You'll find problems similar to yours. Also, you can make you images appear on the thread if you use IMG tags.
There is a lot of dev's out there in the reverse situations. They are working on an app and can do all the programming but have no artistic skills to make it look nice. I'm pretty sure if you offered an art-for-code exchange on various forums you'd get the attention of a few fairly decent programmers.
pretty cool so far but def show it in lighting only also the picture you have is from the Zaha Hadid bmw central building its a very cool building and Zaha Hadid is a amazing architect Just as a sujestion bring some of the cool curves into your scene:
i really hope this doesnt result in dev layoffs though. lack of sales cause of a publisher F up would be very very sad indeed. but as i said, the people i know who got it on console LOVE it. so dont judge it based on the shitty version.
mmh. actually i expected this. does anybody at autodesk actually use their own tools? it's hard to believe that essential things get into a release, which are a waste of time for the user and nobody from the devs has the same problem. and we are not talking about crazy physics or hair simulation. ;)
Dear Bartalon, thanks a lot for your reply. I'm aware of that, maybe it is better if i use a more appropriate example. This is almost the same case but with a spherical surface, here the extra loops would cause 2 hard lines on the spherical part. How could it be sorted out?
Neither... In fact, I hardly play games, really. When I do, it's usually games like "Dear Esther" or "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter", that I'm playing for the experience (like a movie), more than anything else. I don't usually have much patience for games.
What my mates in Hollywood think of VR. I just said yo Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams, James Cameron, Guillermo Del Toro, Eli Roth, The Russo Brothers, Justin Lin and Jon Favreau https://uploadvr.com/hollywoods-biggest-directors-think-vr/
awesome work ScottP, your work on chivalry is also sweeeet. Looking forward to seeing this flesh out more. side note- calm down almighty_girl. I think epic know what they are doing, considering it's still in dev. Stop ruining so many thread with arguements.
Have you played Dear Esther? It's a valuable reference for you, I think. It's also a good story and experience (though I refuse to call it a game) and has a hell of a lot of good looking vistas. You can also watch a playthrough on YouTube - it's not a very long piece.
