OMG! This stuff is amaizing! dDo had my textures done in about an hour! I like this thing! So I think the gun is ready) Next i'll do the knife and probably start the fat guy. 1k textures (diffuse spec gloss normal) and 256x256 emissive
You don't, I have a vivotab note (comparable specs) and you can not paint in photoshop with this thing. Very very laggy last time I tried. But great programs like Clip Studio are fantastic on it and almost as good functionally. Also much better touch interface.
plety of video tuts on youtube and google. make sure your scene scale is accurate. and the detail of skin is more about the spec and bump than anything else. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5FryvqLH8o"]5 - Rendering Grapes in V Ray SSS2 - YouTube[/ame]
Actually a very simple solution in this case as I like the way the material is working, (I just wanted the scratches to be less intense) is to simply edit the spec and normal channels. Seems to work for me. Thanks for the other tips though. Gave me some ideas to use as well. :)
Haha yeah lets just make a relaxation room :pensive: spec wise I already have everything I could need and I'm not really into those disco pc boxes, but If I could get the computers leds to work with the rest of the rooms lighting then that would be cool :)
Hi, @Marshkin Thank you so much for the feedback, I am still experimenting the PBR stylized workflow. It seems to me that something still missing on my barrel. I feel that give the planks some high spec would be great, I'll definitely do it. Thanks.
Popular guy, I made a 3D version of this one as well :D Nice job man, I like the half stylized textures/shader you did, I would perhaps play with the spec levels a little, might help to break up the sections a little more.
The lighter area in the texture will likely repeat a lot. Wait until it's on the model before adjusting. I'd imagine the spec map would be darker for wood. If you use UDK consider using all channels of a greyscale map for different things such as variation maps and masks, more efficient.
Since we don't know what kind of technical requirements you were allowed, many of us can't comment. For example, was tiling allowed? Floating geo for the windows? How close would you get to the model? Only diffuse map or Spec allowed too? Etc.
So tried to sharpen up the chippings and what not, change up the texture a bit. Spec map is working sorta but needs refinement as well. Gonna move on for now, work on some other assets however whatever you see for the textured asset please let me know.
