@ssquir33 thanks for the great input and encouragement! if i had more time, i'd go back and rework astro girl but as it is now i'll have to carry your feedback on to future projects instead. WIP model of my shoot'em up guy coming soon!
I ended up adding a fold to both the gloves and the boots, scrapped the awful bracers and added ...hand guards I suppose. I'm not too sure about the coat lapel color and I'll probably play around with the torso detail a bit more in the future.
This is something i've recently been concerned about preventing in the future. So i decided to switch to using the wacom pen full time, its definitely taking some getting use to, keep finding myself reaching for the mouse so i disconnected it altogether.
Are you handpainting it all of it or you are mixing photo source? I recommend having diff variations on the lamp post- one bent and other straight, just like the concept. This indeed is an awesome concept. I might do it in the future :P hoping to see more!
I ran into this through another query. Funny how google works. I'm aware this is long expired but wanted to let you know I'm available for future work. It was somewhat relevant because I've done something very similar recently. Cheers, J
Loved it. They nailed the setting, dredd was badass, soundtrack was ace. Really dont get why its flopping in the US, just a damn good action film in a gritty dystopian future. As a long time fan i have very few complaints. spotify:album:5YOGQJ9Fvx81q77QtE0VjP
We are looking in priority for a 3D Animator to work faster. 2D Artist for box and other illustrations in the future and UI. 3D Artist for crowd people characters. Music Composer = WE ARE FULL Other talents are welcome to join the Shin-Kaneda Team, just ask !
Haha, thanks! Not sure if the other also think so, but thanks :) Future Tasks are to retexture the Luger and the MP40 again. I still dont like them...need to work on my metal material definition. I think its hard to nail good looking metal.
Texture atlases are used quite a bit, the EAT3D UDK tutorial is based off that and vertex painting. I would try setting up a vertex paint shader to try and create some variation in your materials. I guess you will be adding more in the future?
Position was filled, thank you to all who applied. I will keep all applicant info on file for future work that may become available now that my project has gone live. For those interested in the project check my sig. Thanks again
