Does anyone know of a good site to download or purchase 3D models of building interiors? We're looking for some content at work that I don't have time to build, and the only site anyone here is familiar with is TurboSquid (always dubious, IMO.) Anything that will work in Maya, Max or Cinema4D is doable. Muchas gracias for…
Collada is a great format, it really is. It's only let down by the various modelling programs that export it in different ways. For instance, cinema4d follows the Collada guidelines, but papervision was built to only interpret Collada exported from Max. Theres a whole world of pain there, but I can't imagine a better…
for rhino solid works that men mister kimono talk about Solidworks is such a package. In case you are interested in animation or game design consider 3D packages like 3Dstudio Max, Maya, Cinema4D, Modo or Blender (it's free!). here link https://grabcad.com/questions/solidworks-vs-rhino
Hi. Try using the Triplanar Shader in Redshift and set the projection mode to World-Space. You can usually find that in other renderers too. They specifically mention the result has the colors "swimming" over the object surface: https://docs.redshift3d.com/display/RSDOCS/Tri+Planar?product=cinema4d

In fact I was thinking about a level a la Uncharted, or The Last of Us. If your hardware can handle it, I don't see the problems of modeling an entire level in one file, as long as you keep the scene organized you won't find issues, I have to try what XSI can chew with its GigaCore though. You can isolate a portion of your…
" Same scene looks perfect in path tracing render probably but typical on-line rasterized render makes it look sort of dry and "uncanny" art style wise. I long tried to find what it resembles to me till randomly find a well known "rainbow" portrait of Elizabeth 1. Full of tiny details done with perfectly same attention in…
omg.. My first 3d app was cinema4d which let you type in stuff like 360/8/2+180 and what not for specific rotations. I was missing that in Maya. Did not realize it uses code like additions/muliplications/division/whatever. Very handy. Thanks for pointing that out. =D
Cool iskandar80! I can't wait to put my hands on it! I been trying to make a good workflow with Cinema4D Body Paint, Photoshop Extended 3D Paint Tool, Maya Brush Tool and Mari. I have big hope Substance Painter is going to be the one complete my workflow!
