Haven't updated this with some proper work for a while. Ive started texturing and fiddling with Unreal material shaders. Made a quick video of things so far as I think it looks better in motion. It does drive and shoot and all those other things, but its more about what it looks like than how big its gun is… -

Thanks for the answers. Seems like a 7900gtx is the way to go for me. I can get a 7900gtx with 512ram along with a new AMD x2 and a motherboard for half the price of a quadro4500.;) -

Actually this is not true, I know quite a few people that are having viewport errors with the 7900 series and Maya, like everyting in the viewport becomes invisible and when they try to update their drivers it says their card is not a quadro? And the viewport running at 5fps when a cube is displayed. Nvidia is so random… -

The DX10 video from CES is really amazing. They got the framerate rocking now. Looks like 60fps in most areas, with some minimal drops during extensive particle flare ups. Looks like it will be fun.
