Just have to add my two cents to this thread. :D Kevin's work is really inspirational! Thanks for posting it up here! Its nice to read your processes, and the time spent on specific assest! Thanks for the awesome thread! ~C :D
Hi there folks, Trying to get into zbrush and practice some sculpting, first time making a hand, took me a while, I'm looking for some crits on this. Any 2 cents would be great!! The sculpt is about 2M polys for the whole thing. Also, what's with zbrush's weird layer system :/
Just my two cents. I don't think I would describe the fiend as orange. It's more of a biege color. Your models hands/blades/whatever also look like they are backwards, which makes it look really awkward when it walks.
Not a professional (yet) but I did some intern work for a studio once. My 2 cents, it's going to be heavily dependant on the art style of the game of course. If you're going for realism I don't see why photo textures shouldn't be used if available.
The models have all that detail but the way your models are staged and currently rendered are not doing your models justice. A possible way to improve them would be trying a simple 3 point lighting system. That's just my two cents. Good luck :)
I would have to agree with Lee on this one. I was kind of thinking the same thing when i saw it. Just my two cent, Maybe try some attacks that the hulk does. Might find something that looks less... humpy :P
I'm far from an expert but as a bit of feedback I'd say the light coming in from the window seems a bit yellowish, as if its an artificial light source as opposed to a whiter natural light source. Just my two cents. Love the texture style!
How about since Domwar is a game character competition we actually put it in an engine! You know, turn arounds, idle animations. A different sheet for particles. You know...characters for games, instead of characters for posters. Eh...my 2 cents.
Oh, you're such a tease, Adam!:) I see how this is weird for you, but think of it as giving the participants a little extra something even if it's nothing, or rather Epsecially if it's nothing. This might be some useful information for people to think over. Just my 2 cents.
i'd say thats your weakest piece since opening the thread... the bizeps looks awefully small, the stomach area is fat and muscely at the same time and i dont dig the hairdo, but i wouldnt give too much on my 2 cents :)
