rendering is about the most demanding thing you can do with a computer. Renderers take every bit of power the computer can give them. I get this all the time on my computer at work, and thats a Dual CPU Xeon. You just need to learn to live with it. Grab a coffee.. read a book :)
ooh making unique UVs on another UV channel? That sounds pretty powerful. Are extra UV channels resource intensive? I'm working in unreal so I have lightmap UVs as well. I guess I could use that channel for masking but lightmaps tend to have a lot of wasted space for padding...
hey hey hey now, leave Bob Ross out of this! lest his spirit haunt your nightmares with happy trees for a thousand reincarnations... he has that power, you have been warned! [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3RYOawNITs"]Bob Ross: Painting An Evergreen Tree - YouTube[/ame]
this. go home and work on personal stuff if you are a workaholic. i mean, why not profit yourself from all that extra energy? in my opinion, crunch and overtime are at best poor managment and bad planning from the ones with decision power, at worst a deliberate strategy to cheat you out of your deserved pay.
To make lights rotate with the sky you just need to move them into the sky group. As for the sky light is straight forward....u just click on the sky map to add lights where you want and just decrease the overall brightness of the sky and increase the power for the lights u created...and also color if needed.
This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a while! This kind of belongs in Technical Talk rather than General Discussion, so I'm moving it for you. More power to you, I hope your hands recover soon. In the meantime this is a great project, kudos for sharing with anyone else who might have disabilities.
The game is just over powered when it comes to pvp because everyone is at the higher rank. So either you stand no chance against them or you do if you find the orbs quick enough to build your forces. If you ever download it or anything you can add me up "Nitewalkr"
I've got unique Speculars for mostly everything. But I'm wondering if I'm just doing the specular power wrong, I've used the mesh viewer as the reference so far, but it seems like it's way off compared to how it looks in the editor window. Eg. the wood material, it looks much better in the material editor.
I beefed up the armor a bit and going with a more covered look actually, in my opinion it brings out her fighter mentality a bit better and underlines her somehwat reserved character. I was also playing with some indication of light /energy as a newly obtained source of power from Arclight Velkoz.
I dig the frankenstein and spaceman characters, maybe you could go back and add some of the nice hue shifts and colored lighting that are working well in those two into some of the other pieces. For example, maybe the resurrection shrine could have a magical glow under lighting the sphere and implying a power source?
