You can clearly see the red door from the area containing the red key. This might help people realize where to go next even if they didn't see the door earlier. This is very useful because of doom's map screen only showing areas that you've seen before. Now that you've seen the door it will appear on the map.
I search for hiding information algorithm in 3d model during hiding data in its representation(geometry image) it is because geometry image contains details of geometry for 3d object so I need to know how can I get geometry image and understand the structure of it ?? and its formats ? what is the difference between it and…
Zbrush is basically trying to capture the difference between the current subdivision level and the maximum level when you bake a displacement or normalmap. If you bake at a high level then you're going to have less and less difference between the geometry and so your map will contain less information. Polypaint is the…
Search and ye shall find 1. Click the Search button at upper left of the forum. Clicking it with nothing in the text field will show you the search options. 2. Made a first pass on my shader for the walls. Blending between some tileable textures, only photobased so they are kinda fugly and contain some lighting info. Values are all guesswork and there is no roughnessmaps yet, and no specular values either. Will try to add parallax occlusionmapping, but its such a pain so we will…
Here are some cool tuts by Ben Tate that includes texturing of the models that he creates. http://www.bentateonline.com/CG_Education.html Also his brother's site contains more tuts: http://www.christateonline.com/Tutorials_1.html Check also http://cg.tutsplus.com/ which is great tutorial resource and you can refine your…
So heres a bit more progress. Working mainly on the gun area and the ammo container. The toys always leave some details missing for the obvious reasons so I'm trying to add in some details that will help sell this guy. Thanks to everyone for watching and hope you enjoyed it. Should be doing more work on this guy later...
I live in a town with a very small games industry, it's active and growing but we're very much contained in our bubble. I wish I'd realized sooner the benefit of getting out of that bubble by going to conferences in other cities. Networking is so useful, I feel behind at establishing myself in the industry but getting…
Just to add, you can also bake in SP/SD using cage + name matching (and still skip exploding the meshes). As long as your cage file contains the exact same UVs as your low poly mesh(es), it will work. It's a really powerful feature if you need that extra control using cages for your bakes.
You can even upload the whole content folder but its not necessary. I'd need only the related folders. So the folders that contains your display mesh, its textures (the video texture too that you want to use), and its material. You can also make a new folder, and copy these to the new folder, and than upload that.
