pretty darn good imo, but i think animators end up doing some multitasking, maybe show that you can rig things as well? Depending on studio size their may or may not be someone to do rigging for you.
Biped is a really great rig, but you can't animate the same way you would with any other rig. It's just a different workflow. As vig said, I handle much of my curves simply by creating more keyframes.
I think you've already accomplished quite something but I think you should take a step back and look at your scene as a whole, the individual textures don't look that bad but when you blur your eyes you'll see that everything is more or less the same value and it becomes one big green blur, it makes it pretty hard to read…
This is so dang cool @Astrocoolbug the facial hair and feathers are so well done ;___; I'm so glad you're going to get him rigged as well, can't wait to see him full rigged and moving around =)
RIG & ANIMATIONS Hey guys, I'm Alex, node plugger, stuff coder and things mover -------- Nothing here yet ? Soooo sad :( Hurry up Gravity ! We need fresh triangles to rig here :p
I'm a bit curious. In these game arts programs, do they teach you a bit of rigging or it's just modeling? Because if you have a good base in rigging, i thnk you can help in small prods too, no?
Got my lowpoly done and some base colors- needs gradients and all that jazz, this is mostly just a color blockin. I hate rigging, so Don Don should be helping me out a bit with the rig on this :)
Thanks chip and no, she isn't rigged yet. But she will be. A simple rig though, since we're only supposed to have our creations posed. And yea, the armor is probably going to give me some hard times.
He's pretty cool overall. For 1,000 polys you could probably go with a 256x256 tex but it depends on what specs you're working with. The older games I've moded for used 256 on models around 1000-1500 tris. Probably wouldn't hurt to 'get serious' about muscles. Do a little anatomy study. Back muscles don't look like that at…
Here are the updates, with explanations. I believe this is much better. Going for subtle details that aren't too much, not too dirty, but enough to look believable. I placed some intentional scrape marks where things would have happened in the past. it's a large, round vehicle so the big thing in the back would get hit,…
