Figured it out, for anybody who might have the same problem in the future and finds this thread: I accidentally used the Vertex Color feature once and drew something on the Mesh. I just deleted the Vertex Color map. :) Updates on the texture will follow soon...
the highlights is not the main thing that makes the face feel alive, the motion is, and it's damn good I'm sure they'll overcome this rendering issues in the future projects. Would fucking love to see this tech in GTA5. But right now it's good enough for me to buy this game.
nice job man. I am assuming that you are going for a cartoony look. One thing you can do in the future is colorize your ao. In cartoony stuff you don't have those blacks and I think its hurting it a lot.
Thanks! Also, thanks for reminding me about hard brushes, I'll try to vary the hardness and opacity a bit more in the future :) I used a mask when working on the still life, maybe that's why the outlines look a bit sharper and more defined.
^^ Realized those are way too dark. Will fix for future posts. I didn't like where the inner temple was going, So I did some sketches to try some ideas. I think 1 is the direction I am going to go.
In the future, I'd suggest keeping the same old thread going that you previously started. Regarding your work, it's looking insane! Great job on the walls. The debris on the ground is really cool, but I think you should try organizing it into clumps more.
Thank Ged! I wanted to use a specular map because the original test required a 1024 diffuse, normal and specular map. I technically don't have to use those maps since I won't be submitting it but for future reference it would be useful.
I did some quick experimentation with PF Source and I believe it'll get the job done. That Zbrush method had slipped my mind for this type of stuff, Next. I'll Definitely have to try it out sometime in the near future, cheers!
Thinking on this topic myself. Want to switch form 3D Max though. In the near future I want to try Modo Indie on Steam. But some limitations bother me, like that commands and scripts are unavailable. But I think it's still a good choice for me.
Ooooh all right, I'll remember that for the future ^^ Thanks! Thank you :D - The article is almost ready, not sure when it'll be released publicly, I'm also trying to work on some small tutorials based on questions I've received so far ^^
