I'm pretty sure the mirroring features in Blender is heavily reliant on the rigging setup in the same program. I don't remember seeing anyone porting a rig from another application and automatically get it to mirror.

Started re-learning how to make a rig and skin a mesh. Kinda miss 3Ds Max now... Anyway, still a WIP. Got a little bored after a whole day of rigging, hence the pose.
hehe woops! The holes are a shadow casted by her goofy shoes. I can probably readjust the head once she's rigged. I just have her in a natural position for rigging. Thanks for the info!
