I went to http://www.fxelements.com and downloaded one of their blood hits, and then put it on a layer in After Effects and set the blending mode to screen. There's probably a better way, but this was relatively quick and easy given the deadline.
Just a quick question. Did you model these parts as a modular design? If so I would love to see a screen shot of how you've broken up the elements of the scene to make it modular.
I had i little think and maybe the right side of it... screen, light and optical sensor optional. Dunno if it works... there is a WW2 german gun like this 90 degree magzine, use that mechanism?
Is anybody playing with a HD 7970 with the latest crimson drivers(hotfix one). If yes then do you have any FPS drops or artifacts like screen tearing, horzontal/vertical lines etc.
Charlyxx: it will take the ratio of your viewport, naturally. Press ctrl-x to get closer to the natural ratio of your screen, or just take a sufficiently large size and crop it to what you need.
I humbly disagree, respawrt. When you're playing an FPS in 1080p on a large screen, those little scratches make a big difference between what looks fake and what looks real.
Thanks Locater :P Another weekend of 3d fun is over. Finished the high poly for the fuel tank looking area. Just bringing those pieces into UDK now. Here is a quick screen of it.
Daniel Craig quickie: And also, figured I'd sneak in some screen caps of the character I'm currently working on. Still rough and very WIP, it's based on Cobra, a character from the comicbook "Haunt".
the second option is if you want to add the actual picture and not attach it. what is strange is that the text is a link to your full screen picture. btw, really unique tree shape... keep them coming!
Looks pretty great. I think having some kind of platform for the table would help your presentation a little. Like part of a wooden or tile floor that dissipates near the edges of the screen.
