@BearByrnes - that is nothing that is possible right now, but its something we´re looking in to for future releases! Teddy is looking in to suite/UE4 in generally to make sure everything is working correct. We will also try to create more tutorials/write ups in this matter. :)
You really really need to make your painted in shadows more saturated. You skin is too desaturated overall. Take a look at this image it might help. Though I warn you future skin textures will not have any painted in lighting.
Gunna sound silly. But I've always wanted to inspire people to be interested in space and the future like I was, like halo, star wars, star trek and all that always have. Incidentally I just signed my papers to start at 343 today:)
I agree with VVCephei, the one shown in post #39 is my vote. I'll be doing my best to participate this time around and record my progress for future episodes of my Polygon Pilgrimage. Hopefully I'll persuade others to join as well! Cheers~
General Discussion is not the right place to post software questions like this. I'm moving this to Technical Talk, where you're more likely to get the right eyeballs on your topic. This is not a big deal, just be aware of where to post in the future, check the forum descriptions.
The concept is great but it does not translate too faithfully into 3d, because the handle has blended into the blade and the weapon is very thick which makes it seem not sharp. it feels a bit doughy. but its not bad at all, i look forward to your future works :)
It would be really amazing if you will stream \ or just get to youtube the whole process making that kind of model in 3ds max , in particular about that jiggle and cloth aspects and making \ exporting animations too... really great work, hope of your future works!
Don't get stuck in that mentality that your future relies on your instructor... 80% it's still all about the amount of time you spend practicing and only 20% or so mentor. And to be frank, I only consider Feng a "good" artist but no where "great".
@Brian "Panda" Choi Well initially it was a vague idea but since I recently picked this old sculpt back up it has evolved into more of an android femme fatal/assassin. Future models of weapons and detail sculpting for battle history will help convey this.
It really seems like there are more opportunities these days - my current plan for the future is if I ever get laid off I'm taking a few years to make an indie game. I'm sure there are a lot of people on Polycount who have the same plans.
