Can you render your starship agains a neutral gray background? Right now it's very hard to see it. You work looks nice though. I have seen artist that use parts of images for details but it's always worked on so it's only a starting point.
silly thing, but how to cycle trhough the spline points on a 3ds max spline ie select the next one down or up. i though it would have been something obvious like pgup or pg down
@Shrike Thanks for the critic :) but so far I know the has CryEngine no world space based color function  please tell me if I`m wrong. I tried to use two materials but this needs a soft transition.
The color on the wall panels is drawing too much attention from the door. Id try switching it back to more neutral colors for the hall and let the door be the color. When you get some bounce radiosity it will sell it even more.
I'm down for anywhere in Korea... Seoul would be easiest for the Asian pacific region. I don't know how many can come though so we'll just wait and see who replies and choose a neutral location from there. ;)
I made a new and very small scene only for the light setup, because my build time is to time consuming =) This is my current scene light, I try to work with a neutral light setup to create a more believable scene.
@oblomov Good catch, I didn't realise that. I expected a blank input to be filled with a neutral normal but I guess I was wrong there. Guess that just leaves my original issue with my reflection map not being read as HDR.
Changed the face based on feedback I got, and swapped out the shots for ones with more neutral backgrounds. Also decided to simply go 1 for 1 with armour and x-ray shots. I hope it's an improvement? The gradient is an exponential height fog. Should I get rid of it?
This is my first complete character, done entirely in blender (hence the circle brush used everywhere in the texture). I didn't really model with optimization in mind, but she's 1k tris with a 512 texture. Crits, please! Edit: here's a neutral pose on p3d. [SKETCHFAB]aKctnppzzcOqRhYk68Hlt30MJhS[/SKETCHFAB]
Nice work. I like the gunmetal version much, much better. I know what you were trying to do with it, but the blue wasn't cutting it. I think the red either needs to be darkened, or should have a subtle pattern in it. Either way, best of luck :)
