"a sky with clouds texture" Do you work in a game engine? In 99% of them skybox textures require special "tiling". Wrapping around or sth. like that; I don't remember, it should be in material/shader. For instance: http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/HOWTO-UseSkybox.html Wrap mode here, I believe. -

well, you could have him boned.... I'm 99% sure that mario 64DS have boned main characters, and I'm guessing a 128x128 texture for them spread over several 8 colour textures... good work so far though, he is recognisably King Koopa/Bowser -

Sorry Lamont, that doesn't work too, our Custom houses in Brazil are extremely sad. :( I tried many times, a few people I know got their stuff by luck. 99% they will get and charge 60% Good thing I live in US now. Still missing Brazil tho. -

A guy from Luxology was calling me a bunch a few months ago trying to get me to buy Modo, but I never got around to getting my Demo. I am also a Silo/Max guy though almost 99% of my modeling/UVs take place in Silo. -

despite my wife and i making enough money to buy a fucking castle with a moat around it in 99% of the world we still cant afford a 2 bedroom shanty in LA.. fuck this place, the weather is not that awesome. and i am not going to drive for 5 hours everyday just to have a house. -

I figured out how to get Maya to name multiple objects correctly when parented or grouped and also not add an extra zero after 10 and 99 objects etc. I also put a name matching feature in for baking. Full video here if you're interested -

Managed to finish 99% of the bake today. Had a lot of troubles (wired artifacts, parts weren't baked etc.), and have to tweak the bake of the ammo-drum, but so far I'm happy. Only thing which still needs some fixing are the panel lines at the ammo drum. -

On a side note Final Fight turns 20. It seems like a greater improvement between 89 and 99 but I'm still satisfied with the last ten years' improvements. Integration of physics systems, facial animation and all this shaders/2d compositing stuff are nice additions to the gaming experience. -
Re: Consistent Texel density vs. Importance/Space efficiency?
There are a few cases where its okay to lower the density, like under cars, the back side of tires, ect. If something isn't going to be visable 99% of the time, but still needs to be there in case, its fine to lower it. But I would make sure the what is visable is consistent as possible. -
Re: Vertex Face is useful... why?
It's necessary for certain normal-editing operations, like Bal said... however, there is pretty much no practical use for it in 99% of any situations you're ever likely to be in. I think I've had to use that mode literally once in the past 4 years of using Maya every day.
