Such a fan of your work already, this is another ace. Can imagine this being part of an in-game dream sequence. Including a picture hook on the discoloured part of the wall might make the back story more apparent?
I don't know that if it's included in your AO map, but the part of the helmet where it stays under the hood should have much more shadows. Other than that, I love the design well done
I have included a link to my Shapeways final product ready for purchase. Feel free to check it out  https://www.shapeways.com/product/4RD9JJK6G/juggernaut-head-dota-2-contest-design
@Texelion: yeah will do on the youtube stuff, it was just the fastest way i could upload them today. As for the focus I want to do props and charaters and i guess that also includes weapons. @Joe: On it!
Hey Ben I tried your smoothing tutorial and this is what I got after baking my normals in Xnormal. Smoothing angle was 180 and everything is unwelded including my uv's. Any suggestions?
I love the premise of Ludology University as a community focused on game design. Unfortunately it appears to be dead. Still though it has a plethora of game design links on it's wiki including links to even more forums.
I believe that many people, including myself, over come fear by watching scary movies or playing scary games. I play violent games because they are better way to take out anger.
Have a basic gradient run trough your base colors, it helps pop your shapes out.Depending on the style you are going for you can have this be stronger or weaker but I prefer to always include it.
Incredible assets CharlieD! I have a question: the most detailed elements like pipes, that you reuse in your scene, were created separately and then have been included in the wall/floor panels, is it correct?
for your resurfacing pleasure. it has been hinted that in a later release NEX might include features such as are discussed here : http://boards.polycount.net/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=191022&an=0&page=0#Post191022
