I used gamebryo for a while. We had it setup so that you could simply export the NIF file and then type in a command in the game to reload the content. It worked nearly instantly. It's not so bad if you set it up right. I currently use unreal. Different strokes etc :)
haha maestro... Sorry about misspelling geeze dunno how i managed to miss that :D yes there is function to it's form, re-loader is beneath like a shotgun you pull it back to reload, and the clips is fastened underneath. So it does work I guess... ;D atleast it will in the future!!!
I've just take some screenshots: I have to say that the weapons in this game are IMO by far the best i've ever seen! The animation (pick-up, reload, ecc...) are absolutely beautiful too. Incredible work. What other weapons models did you do in Crysis 3?
Super, senor-cojones! This does unfortunately mean I've pretty much hit the limit in terms of options for the user bitmap: it is definitely, I tested it and works fine. Better even than Max 2010 because that bug where it forgets selected lights upon file reload, is fixed.
It's also worth mentioning the color ID changes show in 3DO but simply don't take any new smart materials / standard materials yet when I check the ID map in Photoshop itself it shows the out of date one. I've reloaded SUITE several times to no avail.
This stuff look amazing, the one thing i would point out is that, even though it's really well crafted, the reload animation seems a bit too relaxed, I think it would look a bit too casual when used during a firefight. Keep up the great work!
On the gun reload, the slide locks back on a 1911 when the mag is empty. I know you probably did it the way you did so you can get that nice rack and lock at the end, but, it's something nit-picky I noticed :P Rest looks pretty nice.
Have you tried saving your render settings before GoZ, then reloading them after GoZ? I'm using saved render settings here with V-Ray and it works great, loads everything back in. I'm not using with with GoZ though, just across multiple Max files.
Jumping on the realistic weapon bandwagon. Making this HK MP5A4 Gun for someone. First establishing the correct proportions in 3D lowpoly model, the trickiest part is the width.. as its listed as 67mm on website, but might actually be bumped up by the reload clip. Would appreciate some feedback on the proportions, to make…
I basically just used the same textures as I did in the Marmoset shots with a little bit of extra contrast in the specular & gloss. I'd recommend just tweaking the values until it looks good in-game (quitting to the main menu & reloading a save forces the textures to reload, if you update them). As far as the…
