I wonder why wouldn't Pixologic just make it spec color channel in usual PBR way, exportable to textures . or maybe just roughness. Wouldn't it be much more helpful instead of this Material channel nobody really use
That pack comes only with the ZB version of KS.(which is a stripped down version of KS pro) If you email Pixologic and let them know you already have KS and ZB then they should make the pack available to you.
Honestly, just google it and watch some videos. Lots of tutorials out there covering polypainting. Also, the zbrush tutorials on Pixologic's site are pretty great and definitely worth watching. http://pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/lesson/painting-techniques/
Thanks Azkur! Been so busy sorry for the late reply. Yeah I hadn't been able to change the face much but it made to the Pixologics turntable gallery!:) Here it is with a better render and turntable vid. http://vimeo.com/36047708
I want to use Zbrush and make tileables but I can't because I cannot even afford the student version :(. PS: If anyone from Pixologic is here I except free gifts via Polycount PM :D
Yeah, that's the glitch we were talking about. R2B was pretty buggy from my experience, but R3 has been smooth sailing so far. The update is free, I've yet to see one from Pixologic that isn't.
does anyone know where to find a completely stacked list of all the changes? all the ones i found from pixologic are just listing the major changes. I'm interested to see that new smoothing algorithm or what it does
The castle ruins thing in Underworld Evolution were done in Zbrush. Luma were interviewed by Pixologic http://pixologic.com/zbrush/interviews/luma_interview.html I'd imagine it could be something similar for games, just using normal maps instead.
Hi, I've got a Zbrush Mac license and need a Windows license. So I'm looking for someone who would be interested in swapping their license with me. The swapping process is fully handled by Pixologic and doesn't have any extra cost. If anyone is interested in this, please message me here. Thanks!
