Thanks erik, I've been really pushing myself to go slower and try to see how far I can go doing more rendered things. I really love that black and white creature you did, super solid man! WIPS
So much creativity here *_* @ErikNilsson: Such a cute shark, I always like your creatures and animals (super inspirational! ) : D I want to do a daily drawing challenge for myself, trying to do at least one speedpainting a day. Here's #1 - a swamp dragon
YAY! Tacit is back! Epic work. 1hr lunch sketch. Brief: “This hulking frog-like monster can be found in secluded forests. It lures its prey, which includes humans and large creatures. It attacks with spines and draining magic. It is believed that there is something all of their kind seek.”
Not really sure where to go from here. Felt like doing a really colorful picture based off the kids creature drawings I have and came up with this. I kind of feel like I want to tweak it some but I'm not sure what I want to do to it!
YO DUDES! Would anyone be up for doing challenges on here? To my knowledge polycount dont really have concept art challenges like environment, character or creature of the week. @ErikNilson I like that boy mage painting. Very simple but it has nice lighting :) Some sketches for the day. Still experimenting with Alchemy. Colors are in Photoshop. I find Alchemy a very interesting program to get weird and different shapes to imply objects when sketching for environments. I think the strongest…
Looking forward to see the potential new sketches, Sam Yang! But if you would like to toy some more with the current presentation of the scene, I think the next advice I would have given you is to add more space between the character and the mountain range behind her, to add more depth to the scene as a whole. At the…
