In real life you would need to cut pieces of wood into trapezoid pieces for that to work. Or if you switch the direction of the wood planks they would be soaked in water and bent into the circular shape. I'd suggest doing either one of those things. Not only will it fix your problem, but it will look a lot more realistic…
Here is another wip I am doing [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THTgO_KGaz0&hd=1"]Skyrim Armour Design - YouTube[/ame] I was thinking to make two shots of this set. One with open helmet and head inside. The other is closed adn the eyes are glowing. Maybe the eyes should be mroe realistic coz now they are jsut two…
Man, eyes are too far apart. I've seen a lot of great stylized stuff from you on this thread, but last ones, where you are trying to do an stylized female face over a realistic body are not working well. I think you should go 100% stylized or 100% real. A cartoonish head over a regular body looks something fake to me.
I've seen some photos of a steampunked R2D2 on 9gag and later on devianart, so I've decided to do that as a CG model in case that the refs are realistic models. This is what happens so far, some little details are missing, some parts need to be rebaked. Something around 10000 Tris (damn cylindrical shapes) and a 2k…
Gilesruscoe that is some superb work :) Loving the bashed surface on the main ball! very realistic. Here's an update on my "mech thingy" project. Shameless cross post. Also if anyone knows anything about weapon coding particularly all things custom especially animations, i'd really appreciate it! Edit: UDK coding btw :)…
I think here it looks to bland. what I like about ice is the color given by the light going through it. It give a more colorful feeling to it. http://www.zbrushcentral.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=263123 something like this. It depends on what you're aiming for as a style, ultra realistic or semi toon. Either way, more…
Hey Jaque, doesn't look much like skin or realistic lighting at all, it almost looks like you could have done this with the scanliner as well. What lights are you using? Are you using some sort of GI or final gathering to get some bounces in there? How is your light setup looking? Which Skinshader are you using? With such…
nice work everyone :) Here's something i've started working on: Currently it's just a 3ds max blockout that i'm steadily building into a concept in PS for my UDK attempt if i ever get round to it. It's my interpretation of a realistic approach to the Spark of Imagination from Ulduar in WoW. Been working on the inital…
Here's what I was working on, but I'm going to shelve this model, at least until I know what to do with it. I wanted to make an Asian person for a change, I wanted to make someone with a vest, and I wanted to make a very skinny and tall stylised woman... But I don't think the three really work together all that well in one…
Finally have something that I feel like I can show :D Tried my hands at "realistic" gun design. Took me about 2 workdays (~16 hours) from pencil sketch to this. Before anyone asks, the gun has a ejection port on each side. The shooter can use the button behind the port to set which side the shells get ejected to. I'm…
