Time to focus on an art test. Finish this later. koryface: nice duddde. SSS illuminates surface evenly in tissue, and is usually clearest against contrast (hiding the light source usually). ex: Sloppy paintover; That hand should be more like :
Thats a pretty cool looking rock wall. You aren't done with the diffuse are you? Right now it reads as close to a solid color. Some more tonal variety will help a lot- especially adding some lower saturation tones to the surfaces.
danitchu, that is freaking insane! I keep swearing up and down I won't yet start switching to do all my hard surface work in Zbrush, but that's pretty convincing. I'm jealous of your level of detail. Good luck with the retopo.
was totally going to sculpt something else.. then the chin curve just went "POPEYE!" sooo I had to take a crack at him. :) Mother of all cleft-chins. Sculptris and 3dsMax.. sculptris doesn't handle overlapping geo, or thin surfaces well.
MM.....Oh my god! beautiful. *EDIT* excelent hard surface modelling monolith sketching away, at blockout stage using Paul Richards darksiders stuff as reference......www.autodestruct.com like you didn't know the site :D - so much goodness! anyway.....
hey man do you have a blockout of the whole character? usually a good idea to make sure your whole body and proportions are blocked out before getting into the details, since it can be a pain to alter proportions on a high poly hard surface model.
benji - here is racers's: http://www.nextgenhardsurface.com/index.php?pageid=racer445 and the original thread he started here at polycount: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84564 heres the one by Alec Moody on 3dmotive: http://www.3dmotive.com/product-hard-surface-vehicle-texturing
I like the softness of the textures there Tako, the bottom of the neck and collar bones look a bit funky though. dfacto - I really like the design of that thing, it's got some flavuh! practicing some hard surface stuffs. still needs work. environment speed doodle
Some cool hard surface stuff and environments in here recently. Re-attempting this guy, i think he looks a lot stronger and burly than my last attempt. As always, kind of fumbling around with the anatomy, I need to tackle some real people soon.
Warheart: Thx ! Nick Carver: I kindof like them that way though. crazyfool: I love the style of your ganon. keep it up ! Alberto Rdrgz: :) felipefrango: Sweet thx Razorb: Nice bike :) its so cool with the bit flat surfaces and the mechanical stuff inbetween.
