the binding the same key a few times is actually a feature ghib not all tools work in all selection types so you could have say 4 tools bound to the b key that work in object, face, edge and vertex modes.
MightyPea: Thanks for the bug report! I have fixed it and the next release should be this bug free. It crashes if you working on a subdivided partial symmetrical mesh and try to highlight the non-symmetrical faces. Edit: The creasing bug is also found and fixed.
I couldn't find anything wrong in the bridge tool. What update are you using? I will make the relax work in symmetry. Bridge faces is possible. Create a shpere, select two seperate polygons. Geometry > Bridge. But it may not work in symmetry mode.

It wouldn't work. If I extrude, I move the new faces an unknown amount, and whatever stepped movement I do after that will be in addition to said unknown. Unless I'm missing another way to do it? Anyway, I'd much prefer if ctrl would work everywhere.
