You could go with obj and static renders from Marmoset, which is what I did for most of my portfolio renders. Or if you've got time pick up a copy of UDK or Unity, both are free to use and have a bunch of tutorials available online. There are also a bunch of real time material setups for Max and Maya floating around here.…
Hi- can anyone suggest a quick workaround for me pls? I have rendered some lovely stills in Marmoset but want to do a turntable animation- however, I have maya 2009 which the exporter cannot work with (thanks autodesk!). It would seem that earlier versions of Maya are no longer available online either (thanks again…
I'm using maya to export. I tried with specular map but having same problem. I tried with one smoothing group too, can you tell me what export settings I should be using in maya. btw this is how the texture looks in maya Edit: Ok It seems like I'm exporting my mesh fine. There's a issue with my texture files. I tried…
Marmoset looks awesome! Quick question (couldn't find an answer with "search this thread" tool), is there anyway I can export from Maya 2009 64-bit? If not, is it still possible to rig a mesh in Maya, then export the OBJ and still render in Marmoset? Also, is OBJ functioning fairly properly at this point in time? Thanks in…

Triangulate your mesh before baking your normals in maya 2. "Freeze normals" and use the stooge exporter that came with toolbag instead of…
Just wanted to update the documentation on importing anims into Marmoset originally written up by praxedes Getting Your Turn Table Animation Into The Toolbag Plug-ins for exporting out of Maya (and only Maya) are available in toolbag/exporter stoogeExport_maya70.mll is for Maya 7 stoogeExport_maya80.mll is for Maya 8…
Nope, in any case here's a link to a post on exporting animations from Maya. If all you need Marmoset for is static frame renders then obj export will work.
