Been slowly trying to improve my anatomy. Working on the chest of this oldish model. Will fix issues with the legs next looking great Rota and Nick. In fact just about everything is looking shit hot on the last few pages Any chance of some texture flats Rota:)
Some sick topology Polyhertz... wow! uk_resistant - Your scene is coming along nicely man, I think one of the issues right now is your floor, more so your floor normals. How it reacting to the lighting, it looks like its a circular surface instead of a flat surface.
Swizzle, you aren't going to get really detailed crits on your materials unless you post flats, why not start a thread? It looks like it's shaping up pretty nicely, but i dont think you have near a high enough % of your information in your specular map.
cody: I think the biggest drawback on that scene is the lack of any real material definition with specular highlights, everything looks kinda flat. some deeper shadows could help as well. textures could really use a 2nd pass for some extra lovin' now the time frame has been removed.
konstruct: Yes, I agree that had too much edge highlighting. I changed quite a lot since then. These parts are almost done, head needs stuff done to the top and bottom bits which are not really visible and for sure there will be lots of small changes and such until I am done with the rest And the flat thus far
Maybe most people wouldn't, but to be perfectly honest I like the sharp, flat shaded geometry. Stylistically. Adding more detail would just give the singular asset more character - but if you can adhere to a sharply lit style with soft, colourful handpainted textures, over a whole scene, it could be really cool.
hey japhir, right now the wrinkles are barely read, the model is pretty flat, you had a version with much more depth and shape to it in the texture, also the color of the skin looks very pasty and undefined :( the eye area could use alot more work cause right now you only make out the black dots of the irirs in the middle…
