Thanks for the hints. That's what I came up with after studying an example given me on another forum: I have some triangles now but it seems to smooth ok.
Shaz probably means double control edges. However his example introduces some obsolete edge loops because it's not about density really but just controlling the edges.
Same thing as above just more sides, adding/deleting edge loops in certain areas, moving verts to fit the curve and etc, .obj example provided: Download
Can you post some screenshots of the smoothed model? A visual example will help with contextual feedback. Also, what tools are you using to model? (Maya, Zbrush, Blender?)
