it depends on what you call time consuming. I'm a pretty inexperienced modeller but I did this in a day or so and I would have done it much faster if it wasn't for arch-viz purposes and if I had more experience. It's just basic strip modelling. Wires are from a WIP model.
Thank you. I think yousendit will host for you for 7 days if you want to upload the other two there. That first video is pretty basic. Those last two are probably the more complex shapes I'm seeking after. Can you upload #3 first if you use yousendit? :poly136:
For mechanical hard surface? If indeed the case, hmm.....well pretty rare these days to find one still in print, though you might get lucky searching on ebay. I'll also suggest, exploring student friendly narrated video content which on that note one really can't go past Tim Bergholz, particularly for his 3ds Max stuff…
Took the last 2 days to try out multiple models that were shown here and on pinterest So i wanted to say thanks for all the great tips, had a blast trying out all the different Models If anyone wants some of them feel free, it's only fair to give back a bit. model
He's like 10x faster than me. And I've been doing 3D for 7 years. Does it mean I should basically quit? Because time is the primary reason why I want to learn his technique. I bet he can model a full car with insides and everything in like a day.
Very odd, It works for me now. But the day or so before I kept refreshing the page and it wasn't appearing. Thanks for the image btw, but when you say extrude the border I'm a bit unsure what you mean. Isn't it the whole end piece that needs to be popped up? Not just the circled part? Sorry for the bothersome questions.
Ngons, there is unfinished area full of ngons. .blend file Wanted to upload .obj too, but somehow i can't find a way to upload it anywhere. :( Edit: pic. Has anyone heard from Perna? I alway knew my posts will one day kill someone, but I thought it would be me commenting hardware and not topology.:)
Not exactly the same, but essentially it´s the same Warwick himself calls it a remake so practically it´s almost the same. If i knew that earlier i could have saved 3 hours of uploading these xD. I will let it stay in my dropbox for some days, just say if you need them again if they are not present anymore ;)
You are on the right track. Break it down into re-useable modules with variations in texture and objects in the way you describe it. Damien Bastian from Ubisoft actually did a talk on the environmental tools and pipeline they used on ACS on GDC2016. It's available on GDC Vault if you have access to that. Look…
