A Kirby Mass Attack Tank I made in a few hours yesterday, not a complex model, but I think I managed to get the look correct, any crits welcome, tear it apart if you want.
The fan method can look better for certain situations, but for best performance the "Max Area" method is best: http://www.humus.name/index.php?page=News&ID=228 max area # 3 great tank BTW
@Stoneheart All good, your stuff looks cool 🤙 Also by the way if you don't mind, what's the tri count for the Honey and Cruiser? (...I just personally like tanks 🙂 ) All the best for the game.
This thread has inspired me to learn modelling. So many beautiful things. I'm making this tank as practice and got it at 198 tris. So far so good. Next I have to learn texturing ha.
some low poly models for my portfolio engine: key, mouse and mini book model = 62 polys tank = 38 polys pen = 15 polys flowers = 42 polys base book = 14 polys
Hi everyone, I've been lurking this forum (and this thread in particular) on and off for a few years, but here's my first post and contribution :) It's a small tank based on the sprite of a really old game I used to play as a kid: MGT.
working on a 2 week-project, game in unity: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt748oYI4Fc"]RMArena Tank model - YouTube[/ame] Will try to blog a little about it too, but not sure how often I'll post: www.gameartist.nl
I saw a cute tank in this thread (around page 100) made by Leviathan and wanted to make it myself. tex is 128² 274 tris It's been over a year and a half since I touched photoshop or max. So comments are appreciated.
I love the tank! But the tree looks like it has dinosaur texture. I think you can save a lot of UVspace because the characters looks the same on both sides. You could use the same texture on the tree bransches also
I had an old, unfinished lowpoly model of an m5 Stuart tank, and decided to finish the meshwork. It's at about 1089 polies right now, so it does need a tiny bit of tuning; the wheels could definitely be replaced with ones that have less sides.
